about

Strategy first. Story always.

The Laing Label is a creative studio led by Andrew Laing. Documentary-style video, brand systems, and editorial-grade storytelling for brands that want more than content.

The work has helped brands launch, scale, and communicate clearly when the stakes were high — across healthcare, finance, energy, agriculture, hospitality, consumer, and community.

my story

A life built around story, craft, and creating work that matters.

I've spent the last decade working where story, strategy, and creativity intersect — helping founders, teams, and communities uncover their voice and turn ideas into visuals that move people.

Before any of that, I was simply someone who loved making things. Storytelling never felt like a job. It felt like a way of seeing the world — noticing details, people, and meaning that often go overlooked. That instinct eventually became the foundation for The Laing Label.

Along the way, I've built my craft across multiple mediums — film, design, writing, and photography.

Today, I partner with brands to clarify who they are, what they stand for, and how they want to show up in the world.

And then help make it happen.

how the work gets made

Craft first. Systems where they help.

Every project starts with strategy and ends with craft — the editorial standard a serious publication would hold to. The shape between those two ends changes from one engagement to the next.

Some projects lean heavily on custom workflows and AI agents to handle the supporting work. Others don't need them at all. The decision is always the same: what serves the story.

  1. Strategy first Every project starts with what the brand is trying to change, influence, or build toward. The brief lives in that gap — and the work flows from it.
  2. Craft above all Final output passes through the same standard a serious publication would hold. Systems can move faster, but they never let consequential decisions become defaults.
  3. Systems where they help Custom workflows and AI agents support the work — research, organization, post-production scaffolding, the long tail of supporting tasks. Used where they sharpen the output. Left out where they wouldn't.
